Val Kilmer Opens Up About Working With Tom Cruise

Val Kilmer revealed some insight into the cast dynamic on the set of the original “Top Gun.”  He took a deep dive into the characteristics he said were prevalent while on set and explained a faction-type dichotomy where he was the leader of the “party boys” as Tom Cruise displayed “laser-like” focus on his way to becoming “greatest action hero in the history of film.”  “We were the party boys,” Kilmer said about his group in his upcoming memoir, “I’m Your Huckleberry.”  He said the various attitudes on the set mirrored his in-film rivalry with Cruise, who played Maverick and Kilmer, now 60, portrayed Iceman. Kilmer wrote that as soon as the director yelled cut, the actors broke off into “two camps – mine and Tom’s.”  “Every night we’d hit the San Diego nightlife,” he revealed in excerpts published by the Daily Beast on Tuesday. “Once we were stuck at an intersection where all four lights were red. I peeled out, spinning and burning rubber in a perfect circle, showing off. Until we cozied right up to a cop car. He looked at me like, ‘Really, dude?’”  “Tom refrained from our revelry, with good reason,” he recalled, according to the excerpts obtained by the outlet. “From day one, he was laser-focused on a singular goal: to become the greatest action hero in the history of film. He was up nights learning lines; he spent every waking hour perfecting his stunts. His dedication was admirable. Of course, even more admirable is the fact that he achieved his goal.”

********Looks like Tom won!!!
******We just hope Val makes it to the final cut of “Top Gun 2!!”
*****If he doesn’t, he’ll tell the REAL story about Tom Cruise!!

Britney Spears Conservatorship Extended

The coronavirus pandemic has reportedly caused Britney Spears’ conservatorship to be extended.  She was set to have a hearing regarding her conservatorship on Tuesday, but due to social distancing policies, the hearing has been rescheduled to July 22nd.  Similarly, all temporary orders have been extended to August 22, the outlet reported.  Spears’ father, Jamie, served as her conservator from 2008 until he stepped down in September 2019, citing health issues.  While Spears’ longtime care manager Jodi Montgomery was reportedly appointed as a temporary conservator, Jamie maintained financial control.  TMZ reported that Montgomery would act as a conservator until Jan. 31, 2020. At the time, it was speculated that Jamie would reassume control of the conservatorship following Montgomery’s stint.

********FREE BRITNEY!! We had to get that off our chest!!
*******Hard to focus on her when the whole planet is in coronavirus prison!!
*******Does she really need a watchdog when she’s just sitting around the house??

And as a family, they all love each other.”

JLo Sued Over Instagram Photo

Jennifer Lopez is being sued for $150,000 for posting a photo of herself to Instagram that she allegedly did not own the rights to.  According to court documents filed in New York and obtained by Fox News, professional photographer Steve Sands is suing her and her production company, Nuyorican Productions, for copyright infringement.  The image in question was posted by JLo in 2017. Now, Sands is arguing that it was used without permission to “promote their brand” to her millions of Instagram followers. “Defendants did not license the Photograph from Plaintiff for its Website, nor did Defendants have Plaintiff’s permission or consent to publish the Photograph on its Website,” the lawsuit reads, noting that Sands is hoping for $150,000 over the infraction.

Michael Jackson once had a thing for Halle BerryBabyface revealed Jackson previously asked him to set him up with Berry as he spoke to Teddy Riley during his Monday night “Verzuz” battle.  After Riley played SWV’s “Right Here,” which samples Jackson’s 1982 song “Human Nature”, Babyface explained: “Speaking of MJ, it reminds me of a story—true story, fun fact.  “One time, Michael called me, Michael said, ‘Babyface, do you know who Halle Berry is? Do you know Halle Berry?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I know Halle Berry.’ He said, ‘Could you do me a favor? I want you to call her because I want to take her out on a date.’ I said, ‘What?’ and he said, ‘Call her, I want to take her out on a date.’”  Babyface explained how he didn’t have Berry’s number but he did contact her agent at the time.

Tiger King’s Numbers Are Huge

Tiger King was already one of Netflix’s most viral shows, but now, the streamer has confirmed it’s also one of the biggest: it tied Stranger Things’ third season as one of the most watched shows on Netflix.  Netflix’s letter to shareholders notes that Tiger King was watched by more than 64 million households in its first four weeks. That’s the same number as Stranger Things’ third season, which Netflix said was the most watched season of the entire show back in October 2019. Nielsen and other ratings firms have already reported huge numbers for Tiger King, including a recent report from Nielsen that found Tiger King’s first seven episodes racked up more than 5.3 billion minutes streamed between March 23rd and March 29th. Still, Nielsen’s numbers are limited in scope, as they only count viewers in the United States.

*******Tiger King is big??? “That’s shocking!” Said no one.
****It’s also one of the cheapest shows they’ve ever done!! No script, no actors…

The Foo Fighters were spooked while recording their new album by things that go “boo” in the night!  Famed frontman Dave Grohl said “the vibes were definitely off” in the creepy Encino, CA., house where they made the record.  “It wasn’t long before things started happening,” said the “My Hero” singer.  “We would come back to the studio the next day and all of the guitars would be detuned….tracks would be missing or….just like weird open-mic noises!”  The boys tried to catch the ghostly spirit on a baby monitor overnight and when they watched the playback, Dave reported they saw eerie things “we couldn’t explain!”  The band soon discovered the house had a chilling history.  “I can’t give away what happened there in the past, but these multiple occurrences over a short period of time made us finish the album as quickly as we could,” Dave gulped.

Police in Australia shared video of a kangaroo speeding through the empty streets of a normally bustling city amid the coronavirus pandemic.  South Australia Police tweeted a video showing the kangaroo hopping through the vacant streets of Adelaide, where residents have been instructed to stay home.  “Protective Security Officers tracked a suspect wearing a grey fur coat hopping through the heart of the #adelaide CBD this morning,” police joke in the tweet. “He was last seen on foot heading into the West Parklands.”  The kangaroo was the latest animal to be spotted wandering through urban areas during lockdown. Residents of a Calgary, Alberta, neighborhood said a herd of deer has taken up residence in the area, while locals in Llandudno, Wales, said a herd of about 122 goats has taken over the streets and yards of the town.
