Matthew Perry Quits Cameo
Matthew Perry quit celebrity video app Cameo ahead of the “Friends” reunion after fans expressed concern for his slurred speech. He disabled his account on platform that allows fans to purchase personalized videos from celebrities ahead of the show’s highly anticipated premiere on HBO Max on Friday. Although his profile on the app is still searchable, there is no longer an option to request a video from the beloved star and instead provides an option to “notify me when available.” Perry had been charging $999 for a 20-second clip from him. Perry’s departure from Cameo, in which fans can pay to have a personalized message from celebrities sent as gifts, comes after fans expressed concern over his health and wellbeing after he slurred his words in a promo for the “Friends” reunion. “Just saw People interview and can’t believe how Matthew Perry looks like… seriously it breaks my heart,” one fan tweeted after seeing the video. Another fan wrote, “It pains me to see Matthew Perry like this, he just seems off, gazing at the void, speaking slowly.” A source later told The Sun U.K. that Perry’s speech issue was the result of dental work he had done the day of the taping.

“The Kelly Clarkson Show” will replace Ellen DeGeneres’ longtime talk show’s daytime slot in most markets. NBC announced the news on Wednesday just weeks after revealing the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” will end in 2022. “‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ has earned its dominance in daytime by hitting every benchmark for success since it premiered as the most-watched talk show in seven years,” the network said in a press release. “The hourlong program, hosted by Grammy Award-winning artist and America’s original idol, Kelly Clarkson, features a mix of celebrity guests and everyday people doing extraordinary things in their communities. It airs in 100% of the country across 200 stations and is positioned to headline daytime in leading time periods by Fall 2022. “ Clarkson, whose talk show was already renewed for an additional two seasons in December, received three Daytime Emmy Awards for the very first season of her show, making her a very obvious in-house choice to take over for DeGeneres once her show wraps at the conclusion of Season 19.

Ben Affleck has gotten back to parenting, following his romantic Miami getaway with rekindled flame Jennifer Lopez. He arrived Wednesday at his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home in Brentwood, Calif., where he was photographed with their 9-year-old son, Samuel. The pair spent time frolicking outside of Garner’s place, with Samuel running around his movie star dad. Affleck and Garner also share two other children: 15-year-old Violet, and 12-year-old Seraphina. Affleck’s visit to the home of Garner, whom he was married to from 2005 to 2018, comes just days after he was seen making the rounds in Miami with Lopez. Real Milli Vanilli Singer Dies
John Davis, one of the real voices behind infamous music group Milli Vanilli, has died of coronavirus. He was 66. “My dad passed away this evening through the coronavirus,” Davis’ daughter Jasmin posted to Facebook on May 24. “He made a lot of people happy with his laughter and smile, his happy spirit, love and especially through his music. He gave so much to the world! Please give him the last round of applause. We will miss him dearly.” German-French duo Milli Vanilli, with Rob Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan, was created by music producer Frank Farian. Their debut album, titled “All Or Nothing” released in Europe in 1988 and was repackaged as “Girl You Know It’s True” in 1989 in the U.S. The dance pop synth album was a smash hit, selling 11 million copies. Popular tracks included “Girl You Know It’s True,” “Blame It On The Rain” and “Babe Don’t Forget My Number.” The Milli Vanilli dream soon soured when it emerged that Pilatus and Morvan didn’t actually sing the songs on the album, and the real singers were, in fact, Davis and others, who were credited as backing singers. The ensuing scandal led to Milli Vanilli having to return the Grammy. “R.I.P brother @johndavisrmv Can’t believe it, thanks for all the love you’ve spread through out the years, from the edge of the stage. Bears Have A Pool Party
A pool party in Tennessee was interrupted when a group of bears decided to join in on the celebration and go for a swim. Michelle Johnson posted a video to YouTube showing what happened when the Jefferson County High School Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, or JROTC, attempted to have a party at the Chalet Village pool in Gatlinburg. The video shows a group of bears swimming and wandering outside the pool after the students fled to a safe distance. Johnson said there were a total seven bears in the group. “Black bears in the Great Smoky Mountains are beautiful but please be respectful, keep your distance, and don’t feed them,” Johnson wrote. Johnson said in a Facebook post that Chalet Village employees told her bears are frequently seen in the area, but the group that visited the pool was unusually large. See the video HERE.

Cali Skydiver in Electrifying Rescue
Firefighters responded to a California road to rescue a parachutist who apparently missed his landing zone and became entangled in power lines. The Riverside County Fire Department said crews were summoned about 11:10 a.m. Monday to an intersection in Lake Elsinore where a man’s parachute was stuck on power lines, leaving him suspended about 30 feet off the ground. A utility crew from Southern California Edison was summoned to the scene to shut off the power to the lines and help the man return to solid ground with a bucket truck. The man was taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries, firefighters said. The scene of the rescue was located nearby a local skydiving center, but it was not clear whether that was where the man’s parachuting journey had begun.

Mountain Lion Comes Through The Window
Authorities in Northern California said a mountain lion broke through a window and entered a home after apparently confusing some taxidermy heads for live prey. The San Bruno Police Department said the cougar broke through a window of the San Bruno home about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday. “It is believed that the mountain lion entered the residence because of several large game, taxidermy trophy heads, mounted on the interior walls of the residence,” police said in a news release. The homeowner scared the animal and it left through the same window. There were no injuries reported. “While mountain lion sightings are fairly common throughout Northern California, this type of incident is out of the ordinary,” police said.

Chunk Of Ice Crashes Thru Home
A Wisconsin man received an unusual wake-up call when a nearly 13-pound chunk of ice crashed through the ceiling of his bedroom. Ken Millermon said he was in bed at his family’s Elk Mound home when the 12.6-pound chunk of ice crashed through the roof and into his bedroom. “It grazed me,” Millermon told WQOW-TV. The homeowner said he “would’ve probably been out, kicked the bucket” if the ice chunk had landed just inches away from where it fell. He compared the sound of the crash to a shotgun blast. The origin of the ice chunk is a mystery. The National Weather Service in Chanhassen, Minn., said storm clouds in the area Tuesday morning were not strong enough to cause hail the size of the ice chunk. The ice chunk fell from the sky just under a week after a Florida family had a similar experience. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said a large chunk of ice crashed through the roof of a Palm City home on the morning of May 19th.

7 Ways to Stick with Your Investing Plan
The Penny Hoarder
- Budget an Amount You Can Invest Every Month
Decide on an amount you can set aside every month without fail. It’s better to invest too little at first instead of needing to skip a month or, worse, needing to withdraw from the account. You can always increase the monthly amount as your income increases.
- Find a Good, Diversified Fund with Low Expense
Choose a fund that invests in many different industries, so your performance won’t be too dependent on fads. Funds that mimic the S&P 500 Index are often inexpensive and easy to follow. When the S&P 500 Index is up, you’ll know your fund went up, and vice-versa. If you’re worried the stock market will be too volatile, you can invest in a fund that includes bonds. Those funds will likely be more stable but will likely return less than a pure stock fund.
You’ll also need to check to see whether the fund’s minimum investment suits your budget. Some funds have high minimum investments. You can avoid this by buying index funds that trade on the exchange, known as ETFs.

Open a brokerage account that will allow you to make automatic deposits and automatic purchases.
- Find the Correct Brokerage Account
Several online brokerages offer low- or no-commission trading and automatic buys. Open an account with the minimum deposit required. Then set up a regular deposit from your checking account and enter a recurring order that automatically buys the same dollar amount.
Robinhood offers all these features and has low minimums. Take advantage of those account features and ignore the speculative advice that encourages you to trade more frequently than necessary. Stick to this strategy and reap the savings Robinhood and similar brokerages offer.
- Set Up an Automatic Deposit
Depending on the brokerage firm and your bank, you may be able to set up an automatic withdrawal from your bank that goes directly into your brokerage account. If necessary, you can instruct your bank to automatically send money to your brokerage account as if you will be automatically paying a bill.
- Set a Recurring Buy Order
In your brokerage account, set your recurring buy order to take place a few days after your automatic deposit hits to make sure the cash is available. That will prevent your monthly buy order from being rejected. If asked, the type of order should be “at the market,” which ensures you’ll get the order executed at the market price. Limit orders require the share price to be at or below some price you specify. If the share price is above that limit price, the trade won’t occur. That would defeat the whole point of the strategy.
- Confirm All is Working Smoothly
Watch your brokerage account to make sure money from your bank is deposited on the right day and that your order executes. Do this every month.
- Be Patient and Watch Your Wealth Grow
It’s not unusual for the U.S. markets to go up or down suddenly. It’s conceivable your account may be down for several years in a row. That should not deter you because you will be investing long enough to smooth out the effects of a long-term decline. As long as your funds go up more than down over the entire time you follow this plan, you’ll get the dual benefits of rising markets and disciplined saving.
