Dave Chappelle Attacked At The Hollywood Bowl
Dave Chappelle was tackled onstage while he performed at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles as part of the Netflix Is A Joke festival. Footage of the incident is sparse as attendees’ phones were made inaccessible during Chappelle’s stand-up performance. Phones could be used, however, in designated areas. Some attendees did release on Twitter video of a man rushing onstage and tackling Chappelle before he was apprehended by security and reportedly Jamie Foxx, who was in attendance. Other videos captured the aftermath of the tackle, which saw Chappelle unaffected by the attack. He was also joined onstage by Foxx and Chris Rock. “It was a trans man,” Chappelle was heard saying, a reference to the past controversy surrounding his Netflix special The Closer where he made comments about the transgender community. “Whenever you’re in trouble, Jamie Foxx will show up in a sheriff’s hat,” Chappelle joked about Foxx’s involvement. Rock, meanwhile, come onstage and made a joke about how he was infamously slapped by Will Smith at the Oscars. “Was that Will Smith?” Rock joked.

Kim Kardashian stunned the crowd at the Met Gala on Monday night when she showed up sporting Marilyn Monroe’s iconic 1962 dress. However, she also received an actual piece of the Hollywood starlet’s blond hair as a gift. The Ripley’s Believe it Or Not! Museum in Orlando, Florida, shared a video on their Instagram account Tuesday showing her receiving a lock of the screen icon’s infamous hair. “During @KimKardashian’s Met Gala dress fitting at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! HQ, our team surprised her with a silver box that contained an actual lock of Marilyn’s iconic platinum hair,” the museum explained in their post. “The Ripley’s team also filled her Met Gala dressing room with a trove of Marilyn Monroe and JFK memorabilia to help inspire her look,” they continued. The clip featured the mother of four opening a little blue box stuffed with tissue paper and looking very shocked when she saw the hair strands. “This is so cool,” Kardashian said. “This is sleeping with me every night.”

Meg Ryan Returns To Her Acting Roots
Meg Ryan is set to direct and star alongside former “X-Files” actor David Duchovny in the upcoming “What Happens Later,” reported Variety. She confirmed the news herself Tuesday on Instagram when she posted a promo poster for the film, captioning it “HERE WE GO!!” Of course, Ryan became a household name in the 1980s and 1990s starring in some of Hollywood’s most beloved rom-coms, including “When Harry Met Sally…,” “Sleepless in Seattle” and “You’ve Got Mail.” Her classic looks from those timeless movies even became a hot TikTok trend last fall. “What Happens Later,” according to Variety, tells the story of former lovers Willa (Ryan) and Bill (Duchovny), who can’t help but reunite decades after their split when both find themselves “snowed in, in-transit, at an airport overnight.” Willa is described as an “independent spirit” who is free of any ties, while the recently-separated Bill is “reassessing his life and his relationships with his estranged wife and daughter.” The two spend their unexpected night together revisiting their past and wondering what might have been.

Dolly Parton Elected To Hall Of Fame
Even after Dolly Parton took herself out of the running to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in March — “I don’t feel that I have earned that right,” she said in an Instagram post — voters thought she was more than “worthy” of a seat at the table of music immortals. After the rock hall didn’t accept Parton’s withdrawal — in part because voting was well underway — she ended up saying “I’ll accept gracefully” and will join such country legends as Johnny Cash, Chet Atkins and Hank Williams in the RRHOF when the 2022 induction ceremony goes down in November. Also making this year’s eclectic class are Eminem, Lionel Richie, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Carly Simon and New York native Pat Benatar. While the “Love Is a Battlefield” belter has been eligible for induction since 2004, she didn’t receive her first nomination until 2020, but justice was finally served this year for one of the biggest female rockers of the ’80s who epitomized the very essence of the genre.

Ray J is claiming that Kim Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner partnered with him to release the couple’s infamous 2007 sex tape. “I’ve never leaked anything. I have never leaked a sex tape in my life. It has never been a leak,” Kardashian’s ex alleged in a bombshell new interview with Daily Mail. He continued, “It’s always been a deal and a partnership between Kris Jenner and Kim and me, and we’ve always been partners since the beginning of this thing.” He claimed he encouraged Kardashian to release the tape after seeing how her close friend Paris Hilton’s career skyrocketed when her sex tape with Rick Salomon leaked. Ray J — who dated the reality star from 2003 to 2006 — alleged Kardashian got her mom to give the tape to Vivid Entertainment and he and Kardashian signed a contract for three tapes – but only one from a Cabo vacation was made public. “I’ve sat in the shadows for over 14 years allowing the Kardashians to use my name, to abuse my name, make billions of dollars over a decade-and-a-half talking about a topic I’ve never really spoken about,” he added. “Once I pitched the idea to her [Kardashian], just playing around a little bit, that’s when she jumped on the idea, talked to her mom and it was out of my hands from there,” he claimed.

With her due date approaching, will the singer, 34, stand by A$AP Rocky after his recent arrest? It wasn’t the welcome home that A$AP Rocky expected when he returned from a trip to Barbados with Rihanna. On April 20, the 33-year-old was cuffed at Los Angeles International Airport in connection to a shooting that took place in Hollywood last year. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s relationship already had been rocked by cheating rumors a week prior to the arrest. “Rihanna’s in her third trimester and the stress of this drama is the last thing she needs,” the source notes. “She still loves Rocky, but she’s got to think of herself and the baby.”

100 Year Old Jumps Out Of Plane
A Florida woman celebrated her 100th birthday by trying something new — jumping out of a plane. Raymonde Sullivan, who served on the front lines as a nurse in World War II, took to the skies Monday at Skydive Sebastian and went tandem skydiving for the first time to celebrate her 100th birthday. “I had never done it, and I’ve done a lot of things in 100 years so I thought I must do it while I can,” Sullivan told WPTV. “It’s scary, I would say it is.” Sullivan said she decided her first time skydiving would also be her last. Once back on the ground, Sullivan celebrated her birthday with friends and family at The Castle in Fort Pierce. See the video HERE.

Bear Breaks Into Car
A Connecticut man had to call wildlife authorities for help when a black bear closed itself inside his mother-in-law’s car after searching for food in his truck. Cody Gillotti said he noticed the lights were on in his mother-in-law’s car outside of the family’s Cornwall home, and when he went outside he discovered the door to his truck was open and his daughter’s car seat was on the ground. “I think he opened it up and there was no food in my truck. There was an empty McDonald’s bag and a couple other things in her car so I think he kind of just moved things around my seat looking for stuff, couldn’t find anything and then left and went into [my mother-in-law’s] car,” Gillotti told WVIT-TV. Gillotti contacted the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, which dispatched an environmental conservation police officer to the home. Gillotti used a rope to open the car door from a safe distance and the EnCon officer fired off a bean bag round to haze the animal and get it to flee the area.

400 Pound Pig Caught
Authorities in Arizona said a 400-pound pet pig escaped from its home and was captured with help from construction workers using a tractor. The Pima Animal Care Center said in a Facebook post that construction workers in Tucson called police Monday when the portly porker was spotted attempting to cross South Campbell Avenue. The workers used a tractor to corral the pig near a bus stop and contacted police. Police soon arrived on the scene with a Pima County Animal Protection Service officer. They were able to get control of the pig, named Rosalia, and contact her owners. Rosalia’s owners said they had not been aware that Tucson does not allow for pigs to be kept inside city limits, with exceptions only for purebred Vietnamese pot belly pigs. The owners said they were already planning to relocate Rosalia to a property outside of the city, and they were allowed to take the pig to her new home. See the pics HERE.

Woman Loses 2 Peacocks
A Kansas woman is asking neighbors to keep an eye out for a pair of unusual runaway pets — two peacocks. Anje Kearney said four peacocks — named Harry, Jack, Luna and Ginny — escaped from her Topeka home on Friday, and she didn’t realize the birds had gotten out until she saw a video on social media of the birds walking down a local street. Kearney said Luna and Ginny came home on their own, but the other two birds remain on the loose. She said Harry was seen in a tree Monday, but refused to come down. Jack has not been seen since Friday, Kearney said. Kearney said she is going out every day to search for the missing birds, which she said had never escaped before. She is asking anyone who spots one of the birds to contact her. Shanna Simpson, animal curator at the Topeka Zoo, said members of the public should not chase the birds if they are spotted wandering loose.
