Madonna Shows Off “Cute” Face
Madonna is showing off how “cute” she looks – two weeks after fans shared their confusion over her appearance at the 2023 Grammys. “Look how cute I am now that swelling from surgery has gone down. Lol” she tweeted Monday, alongside a photo of herself while sitting in a chair. In the pic, she rocked a pair of distressed blue jeans over sheer tights, a black jacket and a black cap that read, “Spiritually Hungry.” Madonna’s comment came weeks after she took to the Grammys stage to introduce Kim Petras — the first transwoman to perform at the show and win a Grammy — and Sam Smith for their performance of “Unholy.” During her quick appearance, she quickly became a trending topic after fans made remarks about how different her face looked. Two days after the Grammys, Madonna slammed people who chose to focus on her looks instead of the speech she gave before the historic performance she introduced. “Instead of focusing on what I said in my speech which was about giving thanks for the fearlessness of artists like Sam and Kim- Many people chose to only talk about Close-up photos of me Taken with a long lens camera By a press photographer that Would distort anyone’s face!!” she captioned an Instagram video on Feb. 7th.
*********Actually, she was just back from hell and the heat caused her face to swell!!

Meghan Is Unhappy With Portrayal On Southpark
Comedy Central aired a Southpark episode titled “The Worldwide Privacy Tour” mocking Meghan Markle and Prince Harry and their decision to move to the US to seek a private life. She is reportedly “upset and overwhelmed” by the episode and “annoyed by ‘South Park’ but refuses to watch it all,” a source told the Spectator. A royal commentator even suggested that the episode could even bring on a lawsuit. “Their legal team are casting an eye over the episode to see what is wrong, and what could be turned into something more sinister. This appears to be their course of action rather than laughing it off, enjoying the moment and showing the world that they get the joke,” royal reporter Neil Sean told Fox News, adding that the creators of “South Park” have not heard anything yet. Meanwhile, “South Park” didn’t explicitly name the couple and began the episode with a disclaimer saying all characters are fictional — even if they’re based on real people. The characters in the episode — who fans noted look identical to the royal couple, even wearing the same clothes — are described as Canadian royalty who move to a fictional town for privacy and are called “the prince and his wife.” While Markle might not be too fond of the episode, royal experts think Prince William will get a kick out of it. “William, I’m sure, doesn’t watch ‘South Park,’ ” said a royal insider on “Good Morning Britain” on Friday. “But I reckon one of his friends will have seen it on social media and [sent a clip his way].” The source continued of William, “I think he’s probably seen it and will have had a wry smile on his face [when watching].”
********So… South Park is “Team Wills!!!”
****Meghan said, “It’s obviously us!! The characters are whiny and privileged!!!”

Liam Neeson Says He Was Uncomfortable On The View
Liam Neeson is addressing his recent “uncomfortable” experience on The View. He appeared on the show last week to promote his new film Marlowe, during which the panelists joked about Joy Behar’s long-standing crush on him. “You talk about him so much,” Ana Navarro told Behar before Alyssa Farah Griffin joked to their guest, “Joy wants to get ‘taken’ by you,” referencing Neeson’s iconic film. Later in the segment, the show played footage of Behar talking about Neeson during previous episodes — after which the actor joked to her, “Joy, you received the checks, right?”, giving her a thumbs-up as they all laughed. But in an interview with Rolling Stone published Monday, Neeson admitted to feeling like the whole thing was “a bit embarrassing.” “I was in the dressing room drinking a cup of tea, turned the TV up, and I thought, oh, this will be great. They’re talking about gun violence in America, and I agree that it’s an American problem,” he recalled. “I go onstage and join the ladies during the break, and I was congratulating them on this discussion.” “And then our segment starts and it’s just all this BS with Joy [Behar] and Liam Neeson and having a crush, and I’ve known Whoopi [Goldberg] for years and Joy a little bit, but I just wasn’t impressed. I’m uncomfortable in those situations, you know?” he added. Neeson went on to tell the publication that he had “a good, intelligent conversation” with attorney and co-panelist Sunny Hostin after the show. “But then the segment’s all about this — oof — 13-, 14-year-old crush. It’s just a bit embarrassing,” the actor added.
*********Liam knows about gun violence… it’s featured in every movie he makes!!!
*****He probably likes Sunny Holstein because she’s not a hog like the other two!!
Was ABC Happy To See Seacrest Leave?
Last week, Ryan Seacrest announced that he would be departing Live with Kelly and Ryan after six years of co-hosting the show with Kelly Ripa. But it turns out that the executives of the show’s network, ABC, aren’t too broken up over the loss of half their show. Apparently, “ABC executives were ecstatic when Ryan Seacrest decided to quit Live with Kelly and Ryan,” according to The Daily Mail. While Seacrest had a strong working relationship with Ripa during his tenure on the daytime talk show, it just wasn’t enough to compete with the Ripa’s connection and dynamic with her real-life husband, Mark Consuelos. Consuelos, who will replace Seacrest as Ripa’s co-host after he leaves this spring, is no stranger to Live, having already served as guest co-host with Ripa several times over the years. His stints on the show displayed how palpable the couple’s on and off-screen chemistry is, something that ABC is reportedly eager is capitalize on as they usher in Live‘s new era. “ABC has been eager to replace Seacrest with Mark,” a source told The Daily Mail. “Mark and Kelly have TV magic. Viewers can’t get enough watching the sparks between them whenever he fills in for Ryan.” The insider also said Seacrest’s time was up at the show, explaining, “He did his bit when he came in to replace Michael Strahan and has done a fine job for six years. And ABC has always appreciated that.” They added, “But Ryan has quite the ego and he doesn’t like the fact that Mark has proven to be so popular when he fills in for him.”
********This all sounds like spin… because Kelly has been angling to get her old man in there ever since she got Regis fired!!

Kids Thought Lottery Win Was A Prank
A Missouri woman who won a $50,000 prize from a scratch-off lottery ticket said it took some work to convince her kids that the ticket wasn’t “a prank.” The Missouri Lottery said the woman bought her Millionaire Blowout scratch-off ticket from the Hy-Vee store on West Broadway in Columbia. “I’ve played it a couple of times before,” the winner told officials of the scratch-off game. The woman said she took the ticket home and scratched-off a $50,000 prize. Her family was skeptical. “I told my kids, and they thought it was a prank,” she said. The winner was eventually able to convince her family the ticket was real and visited lottery headquarters in Jefferson City to collect her prize.

Scorpion Found On Flight
Passengers on a British Airways flight from Texas to London said they had to leave their seats in mid-flight when a scorpion was spotted loose on the plane. Luke Taylor, 25, said he was on the Austin-London flight when the crew started conducting a search for a loose scorpion on the plane. It was unclear if the scorpion was a stowaway or had escaped from a container during transit. “They couldn’t find it, and they had to move everyone in that area to empty seats scattered across the plane,” Taylor told LBC. British Airways said no one was injured in the incident. “The safety of our customers is our highest priority and we’re sorry for any concern caused by this highly unusual event,” the airline said in a statement.

Ghetto Gator
An alligator was found in a chilly New York City lake on Sunday, far from the subtropical and tropical climates where such creatures thrive. The 4-foot gator was pulled from Prospect Park Lake in Brooklyn around 8:30 a.m. and taken to an animal care center and then the Bronx Zoo for medical treatment and rehabilitation. City officials said the gator appeared lethargic and possibly cold shocked. It was likely dumped as an unwanted pet, they said. Releasing animals in city parks is illegal. Police are investigating. For years, New Yorkers have pondered the myth that alligators roam the city’s sewer system, even celebrating Alligators in the Sewers Day as an unofficial February holiday. Sightings like Sunday’s help keep the urban legend alive, but experts throw cold water on the sewer theory. Alligators aren’t suited to the sewer system’s frigid, toxic environment, they say.

Florida Man Saves The Day
A Florida man reportedly fended off a bobcat attack on his daughter’s dog by swinging his fists, clocking the wild animal in the face. Paul Broadhurst told Fox 32 Orlando that he was walking the dog, Koda, on Feb. 11 in the Stoneybrook neighborhood of East Orlando when the bobcat pounced. “The bobcat, he clawed into me pretty good, and I end up having to punch the bobcat in the mouth to get it off of me,” Broadhurst said. “He was walking down the sidewalk that bobcat was just over the top of him. He no sooner got there, and I ripped him off.” Broadhurst was left with scratches after he tried to pry the animal away from the dog, eventually sending the bobcat scurrying into the tree line. “He got away lucky,” Broadhurst said about the family pet who was uninjured during the attack.

7 Extremely Cool Things You Probably Didn’t Know Your iPhone Can Do
HUFFINGTON POST
- You can tap the back of your phone
Do you sometimes find it a hassle to go searching for your flashlight or camera? The Back Tap feature in updated iPhones 8 and later models can instantly activate those or other functions. “You can set some functions [to activate] by tapping the back of your phone,” rather than going through the front touchscreen, said Tolga Kaya, director of engineering and a professor of electrical and computer engineering at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. “I set my double tap to open the camera and triple tap to flashlight,” Kaya said. It’s just how it sounds. Kaya can tap the back of her iPhone twice and the camera will turn on, or three times and her flashlight will come on. Tap two or three more times, and they go off. To set up your own Back Tap shortcuts, Kaya explained you can go to your iPhone’s settings, then Accessibility, then Touch and then Back Tap. In addition to opening the Camera and Flashlight apps, you can choose from a number of actions including mute, screenshot, volume up or down, various accessibility shortcuts and more. Back Tap can work even with a case, provided it isn’t too thick.
- Erase text
Typing out a long message on a text and too lazy to hit the backspace button over and over? If so, you’ll be happy to know that the iPhone has solved that problem.
“To immediately remove some text you just typed, shake your device and you will be given a prompt to ‘Undo Typing,’ perfect for making notes in a rush,” said William Pickering, a digital marketing executive at The Big Phone Store, in Wolverhampton, England. Just know that you may have to try shaking your phone a few times before you succeed. Your phone will give you a prompt whether you want to shake it or not. Is this really easier than hitting the backspace button? Probably not, but it’s kind of cool to try.
If this doesn’t work when you try it, check the “shake to undo” setting under Accessibility > Touch.
- Activate a secret mouse
Sarah McConomy is the COO at SellCell.com, a phone trade-in website. She particularly likes the iPhone’s secret mouse. “If you are in an email or typing a long piece of text and want to change something, it can be difficult to go back to where you need to go, unless you activate the iPhone’s secret mouse,” McConomy said. “Turning on the hidden mouse track is simple: Simply press and hold the space bar; you can then use your finger to navigate as a mouse. This little trick will save you buckets of time if you are crafting a long email.”
- Stop accidentally ending calls
If you are someone who accidentally ends calls by pressing the power button by mistake, Apple’s latest iPhone software update, iOS 16, has solved this issue for you, McConomy said.
“With the new iOS 16, you can put an end to this by heading over to Settings, Accessibility, Touch and then go to ‘Prevent Lock to End Call.’ At last, the call will only be cut when you press the ‘end call.’”
- Take a mirrored selfie
“If you are a selfie fan, then it can sometimes be off-putting with how the image creates the opposite of the image you thought you were taking. Since iOS 14, your iPhone will now enable you to change the settings so you can take mirrored selfies,” McConomy said.
“In ‘Settings,’ you visit ‘Camera’ and enable this option. Many Instagram influencers are well tuned and are using this feature, but it’s still a hidden gem in Apple’s toolbox.”
- Set custom sound recognition
This is a really cool feature that can be especially useful for anyone who is hard of hearing, or maybe people who get lost in a daydream and don’t always pay attention to sounds.
“This is for those who need some help identifying sounds in their surroundings. The feature listens for things like sirens, horns, doorbells and even dogs barking and alerts the person when one of those sounds occurs,” said Amruth Laxman, the CEO of 4voice, which offers cloud phone services for businesses. “This can help people who can’t always hear noises in their environment but can see their iPhones light up with an alert,” Laxman added. In fact, your iPhone will light up, vibrate and display a notification. If you’re a harried parent of a newborn, you can set up the phone to hear your baby crying.
Apple cautions you to not rely on the iPhone to recognize sounds in circumstances in emergency situations. In other words, the iPhone is only human (sort of) and could make a mistake. But as a backup to help you catch sounds you might miss, it can be a very handy tool.
To turn it on, go to Settings, and then Accessibility and then turn on Sound Recognition. And then you can tap Sounds and then turn on the sounds that you want the iPhone to recognize.
- Call 911 without typing
A lot of people reading this know all about this, but maybe some of you have no clue, and it’s definitely a feature you want to know about.
If you have an iPhone 8 or later model, you simply push the side button and one of the volume numbers at the same time, and an Emergency SOS slider will appear. You can either then drag the Emergency Call slider across the, uh, slide, and your phone will call emergency services (as in 911, if you’re in the U.S.). Or you can keep holding the buttons, and a countdown will begin, and you’ll hear an alert. If you wait until the countdown and then release the buttons, your iPhone will automatically call emergency services. Or, sure, you can go to your phone’s dial pad and call 911.
But if you’re really frazzled and are fumbling with your phone in the dark, remembering the SOS Emergency Call feature might get help to you a little faster. It’s no time travel button, but it could come in handy.
